Carry out driving tests without risk

Simple implementation with VEHICO driving robots!

Driving tests that would be too dangerous for a test driver can be carried out unmanned with VEHICO driving robots.

Example

Unmanned CCFhol maneuver

The Euro NACP CCFhol maneuver in 2026 will be significantly more complex than its predecessor. In this test scenario, there are considerable risks for the equipment, the test vehicles and, in particular, for the test driver. These risks of the CCFhol manoeuvre, especially for the human driver, can only be minimized by carrying out the test without a driver.

The video shows how we successfully drove the CCFhol maneuver with our partner Bertrandt.

The CS-B50 steering robot and the Flex pedal robot with the EBR emergency brake robot extension were installed in the vehicle. In addition, our new Wireless EStopp was used, with which everything is under control from a safe distance via an extremely reliable redundant wireless access. Our Inter Robot Communication IRC was used to monitor the robots from outside the vehicles.

Further application areas

Accident reconstruction

By using driving robots, an accident can be reconstructed unmanned and reproducibly.

Reconstruction of various crash scenarios with a Chevrolet Trailblazer equipped with a steering robot, a pedal robot and our Inter Robot Communication IRC for remote-controlled driving at the WORLD RECONSTRUCTION EXPOSITION WREX 2023 in Orlando

Reconstruction of an evasive maneuver and the resulting rear-end collision of a truck with the end of a traffic jam at the Crash Test Service Conference in Münster
