Lane Assistance Systems

Easy to test with steering robots from VEHICO!

Our steering robots are the ideal equipment for testing lane assistance systems such as the LDW (Lane Departure Warning) system and the LKA (Lane Keeping Assistance) automatic lane keeping system.

Test Equipment

The required lane accuracy can only be achieved with driving robots. All our steering robots are ideal for testing lane departure warning systems.

Whether you use the CS-B20, CS-B50 or CS-B60,
all meet the test requirements.

Current guidelines

Microsleep at the wheel or even just a brief moment of inattention can cause the vehicle to drive into oncoming traffic or leave the road.

Since 2016, the Euro NCAP score has therefore included lane assistance systems such as the LDW (Lane Departure Warning) warning system and the LKA (Lane Keeping Assistance) automatic lane-keeping system.

Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK) has been part of the Euro NCAP assessment of lane assistance systems since 2018.

The Euro NCAP test protocol has the summary title Lane Support Systems (LSS). Learn more here:

Testprotokoll

Test Description

The LDW and LKA test is performed at 0.1 m/s increments with transverse speeds of 0.2 to 0.5 m/s. The test is performed five times for each side of the vehicle and with dashed and solid lane markings.

Test Procedure

The built-in steering robot is switched off before LKA is activated.

LSS Testing

Leistungsmerkmale der VEHCIO Fahrroboter

extremely low passive steering torque when powered off

Our steering robots are characterised by an extremely low passive steering torque when switched off. This is a prerequisite for carrying out LSS tests.

minimal moment of inertia

The steering robot offers very low resistance and is therefore very smooth.

no interference with lane keeping assistant

Due to the minimal moment of inertia, there is no influence on the lane departure warning system.

quick installation

Like all our robots, the steering robot can be installed in the test vehicle in a short time.

no cogging

VEHICO steering robots are equipped with modern motors, so they have no cogging.

extrem leffortless turning

VEHICO steering robots are equipped with modern motors, so they have no cogging.

test configuration supports EuroNCAP regulations

The test-specific parameterisation is already included in the VEHICO templates so that the tests can be started directly.

compatible with all common GPS systems

Whether you have a GPS sensor system from Oxford, Racelogic, Genesys, iMar, the VEHICO driving robots are compatible with all common GPS systems.
