Can I drive also other than predefined steering maneuvers with the steering robot?

E-mail Print PDF

The steering robot already comes with a variety of standard steering maneuvers. This includes for example the sine with dwell, increasing sine, sine sweep to determine a frequency response, pulse steer, J-turn and fishhook steering maneuvers etc.

However if you want to drive steering maneuvers that differ from the standard, can you configure almost any steering angle trajectories using a scripting language. Thanks to simple commands this is very easy, since the resulting steering angle trajectories can be simulated and graphically represented in the TestManager.

Can specific in-house driving maneuvers also be integrated?

E-mail Print PDF

Our customer contacts again come to the question whether also customised, firmly defined driving maneuvers can be incorporated into the TestManager software. It is essential that these maneuvres are subject to strictest privacy and nobody else gets this feature.

Through the modular programming of our software we can fulfill these requirements. Software adjustments made specifically for customers are integrated into the software development and maintenance process and are activated on encrypted customised license numbers. Despite of special software adjustments this lets you benefit in the long term of the development in the software and the hardware area of the steering robot.

May the Windows interface be installed on multiple computers?

E-mail Print PDF

A Windows-based operating and configuration software - called TestManager - belongs to each steering robot. As the steering robot often is operated by different test engineers with their own laptops, we decided for a license agreement where the TestManager is allowed to be installed on different computers. That brings the most flexibility for our customers. Everyone working with our steering robot can configure und simulate his tests already in advance and therefore goes well prepared to the test vehicle.
